With an Eye on Nature – Fossils, Feathers, and Photographs

8 July 2023 - 8 January 2024
Since the mid-nineteenth century, cameras have served as an important tool in encounters with nature, from the perspectives of both natural sciences research and amateurs’ devoted examinations of plants, animals, and geology. Welcome to visit our jubilee exhibition With an Eye on Nature – Fossils, Feathers, and Photographs, an exhibition initiated by the museum and jointly produced with the Hasselblad Foundation. The photos present us with everything from the tiny insect with demonstratively spread-out wings, to a gigantic sunfish found off the West Coast of Sweden, as well as geological formations in gneiss and silicon.
