Cooperation partners

Gothenburg Museum of Natural History cooperates with a number of different institutions and organisations. Allow us to introduce some of our cooperation partners:

Working together with ArtDatabanken (The Swedish Species Information Centre), the museum  contributes with species information and receives support for improving access to the collections. Read more about ArtDatabank here

Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre

The museum is an active partner in work with the biodiversity centre in Gothenburg – the Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre (GGBC). Read more about the Gothenburg Global Biodiversity Centre here

In cooperation with the Gothenburg Botanical Garden, Herbarium GB and the University of Gothenburg, we form the Gothenburg Consortium for Taxonomic Facilities (GTCF). Since 2012 we have been a local node for the Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities (CETAF), a European association of 71 institutions that have natural history collections and which carry out research in taxonomy, systematics and biodiversity. CETAF also has an advisory role within the EU. Read more about CETAF here

We are part of the Natural Historic Museums Cooperation Organisation (NAMSA), a nationwide cooperation organisation made up of other natural history museums, naturum, botanical gardens and some animal parks. Read more about NAMSA here (in Swedish)

PRE-MAL, a Swedish working group that carries out pest control in natural history and cultural history collections. Read more about PRE-MAL here
