Performance: Tellus°#3: Sympoiesis

Den här torsdagen intar scenkonstnären Jens Friis-Hansen och scenkonstkollektivet Tellus° Däggdjurssalen. Jens går sista året som masterstudent i performance vid Högskolan för Scen och Musik vid Göteborgs Universitet och bad om att få låna Däggdjurssalen som spelplats för sin examensperformance. Och det fick han! Välkommen till oss för en unik upplevelse tillsammans med Jens och Tellus°. 

Med Tellus°#3: Sympoiesis vill JFH bjuda in till ett fysiskt allkonstverk, där röst, rörelse, musik och video tolkar den smärtsamma förlusten av människans band till Jorden. Han tar oss ut ur Antropocen, människans våldsamma era, och låter oss smaka på Chthulucen, en fullt möjlig, framtid som formas av uråldriga visdomar lagrade i våra celler. I oväntade symbioser och en poetisk relation till liv, tid och rytm, utmanas vår tids begränsande normer, former och beteenden.  

Som kompositör och långvarigt sökande scenkonstnär, med bakgrund inom biologi och medicin, kommer JFH inte med några enkla lösningar, snarare fler frågor och tillfälliga förslag.

Hur ser dagen ut?

I Däggdjurssalen kommer olika saker att ske under hela dagen. Det kommer att bjudas in till små samtal och aktiviteter i salen från kl. 11.00. Besökare kan även se öppna repetitioner och förberedelser inför föreställningen Tellus°#3: sympoiesis. Själva föreställningen ges 2 gånger, kl.14.30 och kl. 18.15 och då är salen endast öppen för publik. Platser kan bokas i receptionen.  Varmt välkomna!

Kostnad: Aktiviteten är gratis, men det kostar att gå in på museet. Fri entré för barn och unga under 20 år. Läs mer om entréavgifter här.

Tillgänglighet: Hiss och plats för rullstol finns.  
Övrigt: Biljett till föreställningarna kl. 14.30 & 18.15 kan hämtas i receptionen från kl. 13.00. 20 platser.

With Tellus°#3: Sympoiesis, JFH wants to invite to a physical all-art work, where voice, movement, music and video interpret the painful loss of humanity's bond to Earth. He takes us out of the Anthropocene, humanity's violent era, and gives us a taste of the Chthulucene, a completely possible future shaped by ancient wisdom stored in our cells. In unexpected symbioses and a poetic relationship to life, time and rhythm, the limiting norms, forms and behaviors of our time are challenged. 

As a composer and long-term searching performing artist, with a background in biology and medicine, JFH does not come with any simple solutions, but rather more questions and temporary suggestions.

What does the day look like?

In the Mammal Hall, various things will happen throughout the day. You will be invited to small talks and activities in the hall from 11 am. Visitors can also see open rehearsals and preparations for the performance Tellus°#3: sympoiesis. The performance itself is given twice, at 2:30 pm and 6:15 pm during which the Mammal hall is only open to the public. Places can be booked at the reception. A warm welcome!

Practical information

Cost: The activity is free, but there is a fee to enter the museum. Free admission for children and young people under 20 years of age. Read more about entrance fees here.

Accessibility: Elevator and space for wheelchairs available. 
Other: Tickets for the performances at 2:30 pm & 6:15 pm can be picked up at the reception from 1 pm. 20 tickets available.
