Loan of scientific material
Preparations and objects from our scientific collection are available on loan to scientific institutions to be used for research purposes. Here you will find information for researchers how to proceed.
Regulations for loan
The loan period is normally 6 or 12 months and the decision to allow a loan will be judged in each individual case. Type material and sensitive material will only exceptionally be lent out. Pictures are often available as an option.
Different types of destructive sampling are only allowed in exceptional cases and in agreement after permission with the assigned staff person at the museum.
All loans from the museum collections must be according to national and international agreements, conventions, laws and regulations, such as CBD (Convention on Biological Diversity) and the Nagoya protocol.
