new exhibitions

For two years, parts of the Gothenburg Natural History Museum have been closed, due to a renovation and renewal project. On 3 December 2022 we were ready to welcome visitors to a modern exhibition, which focuses on biological diversity.

Meet our fishes, amphibians, reptiles, echinoderms and many more species – including humans – once again.

We are also able to present two new features, the first of which is a childrens track. Our beloved mascot Mullward leads the way. The other piece of news is a small exhibition where you will find Polar bears, seals and other species from both the Arctic and the Antarctic.

Evolution is a main theme throughout the new exhibitions. Here you can meet all your relatives!
